Jimi Hendrix Costume Tribute

THIS PAGE IS UNDERGOING CONSTANT CONSTRUCTION.

I did this sketch/study and ended up using it in my interview to Design the costumes for a movie about Jimi Hendrix. I got the position, and it was one of the most interesting things I’ve ever done.

Dear Jimi,

Thank you for your music! Also, your clothes were outstanding.

It’s an historical thing. There’s archive footage, there’s documentaries and there’s real life, but there’s only one Movie ever made about Jimi Hendrix.

It’s a crazy thing, but I designed the costumes for that movie. Even crazier, I survived it. I love everyone I worked with on this movie. Thank you Showtime.

Here are 2 pics Of Jimi at Woodstock that I pulled off Google images.

Jimi Hendrix “Jimi Hendrix’s first guitar only had one string, yet Hendrix figured out many different ways he could make noise and almost music with it. Mostly self-taught on the instrument, the left-handed Hendrix used a right-handed guitar that was restrung and played right side up. As a guitarist, he built upon the innovations of blues stylists such as B. B. King, Albert King, Buddy Guy, T-Bone Walker, and Muddy Waters, as well as those of rhythm and blues and soul music guitarists like Curtis Mayfield. Hendrix’s music was also influenced by jazz; he often cited Rahsaan Roland Kirk as his favorite musician. He also admired the style of ZZ ”
Hendrix was the best – ever osat know many local groups here – have tried to faithfully copied ga and behavior – as I once – I have some my improvisation – let me tell you the other day to make sure the truth – legends

Thank you, Stefan! This is a nice addition to my page. Did you know Hendrix was poetically very inspired by Bob Dylan?
