This is about my wonderful and much missed father in law, Leo Orenstein. He was a director and producer in the early days of television. In the 1940′s he did art for book covers.

He also wrote plays that were produced and was an artist beyond his book covers. Brian Busby did a fabulous piece on Leo’s book covers in his blog “The Dusty Bookcase”. (Sorry to hog this one Brian, but I have another one or two for you if you’d like?)

Leo also had one book published in the 1970′s. Titled “The Queers Of New York” it was reviewed by Brian in “The Dusty Bookcase”.
